A big, versatile athlete who can make a big tackle in the open field while proving to be a dependable pass-rusher, Johnson’s size, above-average athleticism and strong junior season made it easy to include him in the latest 2027 Prep Redzone rankings. One of the top 2027 defenders in Athens, Johnson made a team-leading 75 tackles, eight TFLs and three sacks this fall as a junior. He plays hard, closes quickly, and knows how to make a strong, secure tackle on the ball-carrier. His best football is still in front of him and he’s now ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 30 LB prospect in the state.
