Wallwork is a dual threat and an all around playmaker behind center, proving to be one of the biggest game changers in 4A. As a passer, he shows a good demeanor in the pocket with a twitchy upper half- and you can clearly see him going through progression. He throws with anticipation and timing and frequently showed the ability to finesse throws in between opponents. Excellent improvisor when the pocket breaks down to escape and find receivers downfield- often showing the ability to deliver those off platform throws with excellent accuracy.

He’s a savvy athlete at 6’0” 180 lbs. with smooth footwork and arm action throughout his drop back and release. Clean with his pocket mechanics throwing from a well balanced platform to add velocity and accuracy at all three levels. Quick over the top delivery, he shows good ball placement skills and the ability to anticipate throws to be on time. He’s able to manipulate and escape pressure while maintaining his eyes downfield to create second chance throwing windows. Demonstrates that he can stand in the pocket and deliver an accurate ball while taking a hit. High football IQ and strong decision maker that takes care of the football, threw only three interceptions on 296 attempts. High upside prospect that deserves more recruiting attention going into his senior year.

Wallwork is a really polished QB with an excellent pocket presence, frequently showing the ability to slide left or right and deliver a strong, accurate throw while anticipating a hit. High competitive toughness level as he took some legit hits after release and wasn’t phased a bit. His best strength is his ability to keep his eyes downfield while going through progression despite all the chaos around him- and delivers with a quick, snappy release with the ability to hit all 3 levels of throws with excellent timing. Good athleticism as well as he’s shown the ability to escape the pocket and extend plays with his legs to pick up big gains- and could potentially be a big play threat on the ground as well as he heads into his senior year- showing a really good burst and cut upfield.

I recently discussed what sets Wallwork apart and noted, “Despite not being a major running threat, Wallwork’s footwork and awareness in the pocket allowed him to consistently extend plays, keeping defenses on their heels.” That type of focus on the little things turned into a big season for Wallwork. Going into his final high school football season, this is a prospect coaches will want to keep a close eye on.
