5’9, 170 out of Westinghouse. Saw him last offseason and he was electric, that hasn’t changed. One of the best pure playmakers in Pennsylvania regardless of class. Production and accolades back it up year after year. Picked up an FBS offer from Eastern Michigan, more should follow. Dangerous with the ball in his hands, can score from anywhere. Plays faster than his size would suggest. Tape consistently shows explosive plays, not just occasional flashes. In retrospect, this is a Top 100 player. Recruitment should continue trending upward quickly. Flat-out difference maker.

is an exciting and talented player for Westinghouse. He was used as a slot receiver and quarterback in spot duty for run plays. As a slot receiver, he shows great speed and moves well in space. He is excellent at catching the ball on short passes and making defenders miss while in space. His ability to make different moves run by defenders is special. That’s why he was put in as a quarterback. He showed a dynamic ability to run the ball and make defenders miss while running the ball. Hawkins is a good player with electric speed and playmaking ability.

K’shawn Hawkins is a dynamic playmaker. His first couple of plays are showing off his special return ability. When it flips to the offensive side of the ball, he shows off his spectacular catching ability. He makes video game-like grabs, and that’s why he’s earned a spot here on this list. When I watch him, it is hard not to just laugh at how ridiculous his highlights were in high competition of PA football. Hawkins needs to be ranked higher everywhere and needs to garner more interest because this is a special player in 2 aspects of the game.

Updated measurables go as follows. 5’9, 170 pounds. Up an inch and ten pounds since our last update. Elevates from 122/198 to 96/500.
Has a seven-minute sophomore tape readily available, evaluation will come with said tape as a resource. The Westinghouse sophomore begins his tape with a bang. Hawkins proves he’s a weapon with the ball in his hands, receiving a kickoff and returning it to the house 95+ yards. Natural open-field mobility is evident quickly, as Hawkins continues to return punts for scores throughout the entirety of his tape. Much of Hawkin’s tape has him returning kicks, yet if he becomes a focal point of the offense as a junior next Fall, his production is likely to skyrocket. The type of athlete that demands a vertical shot and/or a bubble screen at the LOS at least once/twice a game. For Hawkins to garner serious Division One attention, he’s going to have to prove his speed at college camps and/or on the track. I’m out of the loop as to whether or not he excels in this area. The tape looks fast, yet we know FBS/FCS want to know first-hand that his speed can stack up against elite competition at the next level. I cannot deny his playmaking prowess at the moment, however. He’s a ticking time bomb.

STANDOUT TRAIT ON TAPE: Offensive Playmaking ability
Likely to be a future producer at Westinghouse, hopefully for years to come. Made a lasting impression on me after his score in the state title game. Likely to serve as a serious threat at the slot for the foreseable future. Where he could make noise is in the run game, as well as in special teams as a return man. A three way offensive weapon is likely to stay in good favor with rankers like myself.
