I evaluated him off defensive tape and came away impressed. Strong hands and comfort catching the ball translate across positions. Could realistically play LB, safety, or even TE. Picked up an offer from Army West Point, which fits his style perfectly. 1,100+ all-purpose yards shows how involved he is. Physical, tough, and productive. Projection flexibility works in his favor. One of the more interesting evals in this group.

On defense, he was a playmaker for East Pennsboro. They played him all over the field. He played as a stand-up edge, a linebacker, and a safety. What makes his film so special is that he is equally as good at playing in space as he is rushing off the edge. That is unheard of for a player. When he comes off the edge, he is impossible to block. He uses his hands well to rip through offensive players trying to block him. Then, when he plays in space, his athleticism takes over. He has excellent closing speed, so he can bait quarterbacks, believing someone is open, and then he will close and create a play. He had two of the most impressive interceptions on plays like this. No way to spin it. Keys is an excellent athlete with a bright future.

In a week 3 match-up against Milton Hershey, East Pennsboro needed everything they could get from Keys. He had two long touchdown rushes of 75 and 65. He showed his explosive ability to make defenders miss and run the ball for long touchdowns. He also caught a 56-yard touchdown reception. Keys is one of those football players who has excellent speed, and once he gets a little opening, he is off to the races. I am excited to see how he does the rest of the season.
