is a UA All-American with legit size as a youngster. Watching this workhorse pop out of his stance and put paws on defensive lineman is unfair. He plays with great pad level and finishes blocks. Multiple Power 5 colleges have had him in on unofficial visits. Big bro is doing his thing upfront at IMG Academy as well, so he has a good path to follow. When his career nears the end I see him as a can’t miss talent since he is already measuring 6’3 270 with an attitude.

Although he currently resides in California, and his older brother is a standout 2025 OL at IMG Academy down in Florida, 2028 6’3, 270 lb. OL Kody Strayhorn hails from the Midwest and the state of Michigan, so I wanted to put him on our subscriber’s radars so you guys have a Midwest rising 8th grader to keep track of. Kody Strayhorn did reclassify down to the 2028s, but the size screams high school OL, and the younger Strayhorn has been selected for the Under Armour Next game twice and holds offers from Michigan and Michigan State at this point in time. He’s also visited the likes of Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, USC, Texas, and Michigan State. His limited 2022 highlights with the OC Buckeyes – who are coached by powerhouse Mater Dei High School’s varsity OL coach – present an interior OL who is comfortable and controlled in pass pro and working laterally across the LOS, strength at the point of attack, great leg drive once he’s engaged, and the ability to manhandle and divert opposition with ease once he gets his hands on. Still a lot of football ahead of him, but with the size and movement skills you can see in his young frame and playstyle and it makes sense why B1G heavyweights are on him early.

Strayhorn checks all the boxes when it comes to a recipe for football success. His father Jason was a Team Captain and All-Big10 Center under Nick Saban at Michigan State in the late 90s. His older brother Kaden Stayhorn, is a 2025 prospect at IMG Academy that already holds double-digit offers, including one from the Saban-led Alabama Crimson Tide. As for offers, Kody already has a pair of them from Michigan and Michigan State, as he begins to start his eighth-grade school year. Originally from Michigan, Strayhorn is now in California and will be playing for the Orange County Buckeyes this year, arguably one of the top three youth programs in all of California. The 6-foot-2, 250-pound Offensive Lineman looks like a surefire P5 Center if he continues to ascend on the trajectory he’s on. On top of good genetics, coaches I’ve talked to rave about his work ethic. He has every reason to be complacent and entitled, but I’m told he shows up ready to work…and then work extra…every day.
