Martens continues to be one of the top dual-threat signal callers this fall with over 1,000 passing yards and over 1,000 rushing yards. But with the emergence of Palacios at running back, Martens hasn’t had as much pressure to carry the offense. That has allowed him to become more efficient at quarterback.

Out in western Oklahoma, we have Hooker hosting defending Class A champion Fairview in the district opener that could end up deciding the district championship. There’s a lot of football to be played but these two teams are among the best coming into the season. For Hooker, they are 2-1 with their only loss coming to a team from Texas.
