KJ led the charge against slowing down the Harding running game, and he did a really good job of getting off blocks and making plays between the hashes consistently in this game. He had a big tackle on a QB scramble on 4th down that got them off the field, and he blew up a couple of plays on some well-timed blitzes throughout the game. I spoke with KJ recently about his performance.

Berry has shown some strong improvement this season, and KJ has been a big reason why. When the Cardinals play well, it is led by their defense, and KJ is literally in the middle of it from his linebacker position. KJ has really excelled in pass coverage; he’s already recorded 3 interceptions from that position and teams will think twice about attacking the middle of the field in the air because of his ability in pass coverage. KJ has also been effective in shedding blocks and slowing down the interior running game.
