Kahalewai was one of the biggest breakout prospects in Nevada with 11 receiving TDs and 10 INTs in 2025. Spring Valley’s two-way playmaker (WR/DB) proved to be an explosive athlete with elite instincts and ball skills on both sides of the ball. He’s a smooth, quick mover that can separate downfield with fluid speed, is a high-IQ route runner, and consistently wins 50-50 balls with his hands and tracking ability. On defense, he shows great eyes and awareness, can make plays at multiple levels/alignments, and offers elite turnover production. Kahalewai is flying under the radar after his breakout season but should be a riser on the offseason recruiting trail over the coming months.

Kahalewai has broken out as one of the top two-way players in the state with a state-leading 10 INTs and 654 receiving yards and 11 TDs on offense. He’s an elite playmaker on both sides of the ball with the fluid athleticism and ball skills he brings to both WR/DB positions. He’s a skilled wideout that can get off the LOS with creative releases, shows great body control at the catch point, and can produce explosive plays after the catch. He’s instinctive in the secondary, jumps routes with his timing and anticipation, and can tackle in space.
