Expert Analysis
Ed OBrien | Prep Redzone Scout
Bush is an athlete who plays quarterback and wide receiver, but his film clearly shows a true dual-threat quarterback. During the 2025 season, he completed 144 of 237 passes for 2,049 yards, 20 touchdowns, and zero interceptions, while also rushing for 316 yards and six scores.
As a runner, Bush is quick and instinctive. He can make defenders miss in tight spaces and finish runs by fighting through contact. He’s dangerous when plays break down, and can turn near-contastrophies into big plays for his team.
As a passer, Bush stays calm under pressure. He climbs the pocket, throws accurately on the move, and keeps his eyes downfield. Bush consistently delivers catchable balls while rolling left or right and shows the ability to hit receivers in stride on posts and crossers for explosive plays. His decision-making stands out, especially with no interceptions on the season.
When he makes his season highlights, I’d like him to add more throws that show anticipation and leading receivers earlier in routes. Overall, Bush is a composed, athletic quarterback who makes plays with both his arm and legs and looks comfortable when the game speeds up.

A true dual-threat, Bush shows the ability to extend plays with his legs and turn broken situations into big gains through the air. His electric speed and elusiveness make him a constant challenge for defenses, both in and outside the pocket.
This season, Bush has thrown for 1,651 yards and 19 touchdowns, leading all quarterbacks in his class. His playmaking ability has powered Great Mills to a St. Mary’s County Championship and earned the Hornets the #2 playoff seed heading into the postseason.
With his athleticism, leadership, and knack for making plays under pressure, Bush is a name to circle as one of the top players to watch during the 3A/4A playoffs, and beyond.

After two losses, Bush helped lead his team to a 40-0 win last week over Chopticton as he threw for 232 yards, three touchdowns, and three interception. For the season, he’s completed 71-of-121 passes for 933 yards, eight touchddowns, and seven interceptions. He’s team is currently 3-2. I haven’t seen his games, so I’m not sure as to how the seven interceptions occurred. Still want to get that touchdown-to-interception ratio leaning more towards the touchdown side during the second half of the season.

Bush is an athlete that has the skill to play QB, WR, and DB when you need him to. This season he’s been playing QB for great mills, passing for 1,300 yards and 10 touchdowns, while adding 120 rush yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. He’s very elusive and dangerous outside the pocket. In the open field he’s a natural ball carrier that should be feared. I have a strong feeling that we are yet to see the best of Bush, his playstyle and skillset gives him the potential to be absolutely electrifying.
