We’re staying in the Great State of Indiana and the theme of “flips” with our next notable recruit in Fishers High School 6′, 200 lb. RB Khobie Martin. One of the top ball carriers in the Hoosier State and the 2024 class, Martin came into his senior season committed to MAC heavyweight Miami (OH), but his play and athletic profile kept the P5 and B1Gs circling the wagons and ended up paying off. On September 14th, Indiana offered, and three days later Martin decommitted from Miami (OH). The writing was on the wall, and five days after that Martin announced his commitment to the in-state Hoosiers. What a week it must have been for the senior! The 200 lber. has a slashing, North/South running style that is going to fit in very well in the B1G. Martin displays slippery and loose hips and quick feet that help him play twitchy for his size. He uses misdirected cuts and steps to set up would-be tacklers in the open field and gets defenders off balance where he does a good job of slipping through tackle attempts at his lower body. I also like his burst & vision, and Martin shows noticeable pop and contact balance when meeting defenders head-on. It’ll be fun to watch the instate hero play for his Hoosiers for the next 3-5 years. Enjoy the rest of your senior year, stud!

was a dominant force coming out of the backfield for the Fishers Tigers in 2022. He found himself ending the year near the top of the conference leaderboard in multiple stats. Martin totaled 1,194 yards on the ground a season ago and tallied 16 touchdowns. The future Miami RedHawk brings a little of everything to each game. He can cut on a dime and leave defenders in the spin cycle. He can simply run over anyone in his path also. Don’t underestimate his speed, either. Martin can outrun most defenders and create distance in between on his way to the end zone. He’s an electrifying player to watch as he heads into his final season at Fishers.

The Hoosier State is underappreciated in its prep football prospects, especially its skill positions, and 6A Fishers High School RB Khobie Martin is a big get for the Miami University Redhawks in their 2024 class. High school recruitments can be funny, you put in years of hard work, start flying football before you really even get your feet under you, spend hours and hours in the weight room, grass fields, and stadium turf, and then in the matter of months, it’s over and you’re committed! This quick explosion of offers and opportunities happened to Martin, who earned his first offer from the Redhawks in late January, earned his next four offers from Austin Peay, Indiana State, Illinois State, Eastern Kentucky, and Northern Illinois up to the end of March, and then a little more than a week ago he shut things down and committed to Miami. A 2022 All-State, All-County, and All-Conference ball carrier, Martin possesses solid speed, an impressive ability to drop his hips and create shifty cuts in 1-on-1 situations, and contact balance and a powerful lower body that can churn through contact and carry would-be tacklers for extra yardage. Good vision as well! Can’t wait to watch this dude tear up the MAC.
