Cunningham was all over the field in week one and found ways to make an impact on offense and special teams. He had a big kickoff return that helped flip the field, then showed what he could do as a receiver with a touchdown up the right side. He beat his man off the line, created the space he needed, and glided into the end zone for the score. The game ended up going to double overtime, and Cunningham made some big plays throughout the night to help them pull out the win. I liked the versatility he showed and how he seemed to pop up whenever they needed a play.

Cunningham is a lengthy receiver with the traits to develop into a true outside X at the next level. He has a good vertical, gives you a legitimate red zone target, and does a nice job high-pointing the football. He uses his frame well to fend off defensive backs and create a larger catch radius at the point of catch. He’s still a bit raw, but that’s to be expected. The physical tools are obvious, and you can see why coaches would be excited to develop a player with this kind of frame and skill set, and I hope he can take advantage of this fall.
