2029 Kentucky WRs Just Scratching the Surface

As the season rolls around in a few weeks, we're highlighting a group of young receivers who have a ton of talent and could have a big year this fall.    Cunningham is a lengthy receiver with the traits to develop into a true outside X at the next level. He has a good vertical, gives you a legitimate red zone target, and does a nice job high-pointing the football. He uses his frame well to fend off defensive backs and create a larger catch radius at the point of catch. He's still a bit raw, but that's to be expected. The physical tools are obvious, and you can see why coaches would be excited to develop a player with this kind of frame and skill set, and I hope he can take advantage of this fall.     Young is a shifty receiver who fits the slot mold really well. He makes sharp cuts, changes direction with ease, and does a nice job creating separation underneath. Once the ball is in his hands, he can make defenders miss and pick up extra yards after the catch. I also think his basketball background shows up in the way he sees the field and works through traffic. He's stronger than you'd expect for his frame and doesn't go down as easily as most smaller receivers. He's an intriguing receiver with a skill set that should translate well as he continues to develop.     Hamilton is a versatile player who can contribute on both sides of the ball, but I like him best at receiver. He does a nice job looking the ball all the way into his hands and doesn't rush the catch. He creates separation at the top of his route stems and understands how to uncover against defenders. He has decent speed, shows some creativity with the ball in his hands, and can turn short catches into positive gains. He may not be the flashiest playmaker, but he strikes me as the type of receiver a quarterback can trust to keep drives alive and move the chains.     Robinson is a shifty inside receiver with elite speed and the kind of quickness that's hard to match in space. He gets in and out of his breaks with ease and does a nice job creating separation underneath. He does a good job looking the ball all the way in before turning upfield. He's still young and a bit raw, but the talent is easy to see. Once the finer details of the position start catching up with the athleticism, he could be a really fun player to watch.     Woodyard could end up being a hidden gem who comes out of nowhere. He's got good hands, and not only can he make some 1 handed grabs, but he can catch in traffic and not lose sight of the ball. He's a really good athlete who can break tackles and make guys miss in the open field. He has long strides and chews up yardage in a hurry. I wouldn't be shocked at all if he puts together a breakout season because the tools and talent are there.
