Cashion’s Kellen Smith Kellen Smith 6'0" | 175 lbs | QB/WR Cashion | 2027 State OK is one of our favorite prospects to write about in this 2027 quarterback group. Based on the film and overall production, we knew Smith was a player to watch in this class but we got a chance to watch him go to work in person last fall and he passed the eye test. Simply put, Smith is an absolute dog and he’s going to help whatever college program he ends up at. Smith can do a little bit of everything and he’s very good at it. He starts on the defensive side of the ball but he’s been the ultimate dual-threat option for Cashion over the last few years. When he’s running, he’s a very physical runner that has the strength to power through tacklers. As a passer, he showcases touch on his deep balls and very rarely puts the ball in harm’s way. Smith had a terrific junior campaign and that followed up a breakout sophomore season. He looks to guide Cashion to the gold ball this fall.

So far, one of my favorite films to evaluate while playing the quarterback position, buy stock now for his senior season. He finished his junior season as 2025 District A-I-1 as the Most Valuable Player by coaches. He totaled 2,155 yards along with 25 touchdowns and another 958 rushing yards with 10 touchdowns. Not to mention, he finished with 52 total tackles on defense. At the quarterback position, he shows nice touch on the deep ball and finds open windows for his receivers. Kellen is a dual-threat quarterback who doesn’t shy away from contact. He keeps his feet active in the pocket, works through his progressions, and competes at a high level on every snap. Overall, he does a great job placing the ball where only his receivers can make a play on it, showing both confidence and control as a quarterback. He shows off some wheels on his designed quarterback run game and is effective in that department.

In our opinion, Cashion quarterback Kellen Smith Kellen Smith 6'0" | 175 lbs | QB/WR Cashion | 2027 State OK is one of the more underrated players in the state of Oklahoma this season. Smith got on our radar around this time last year as he would have some games where he put up some big numbers. He’s back at it again this season from a production standpoint but we also have the benefit of watching him in person. He’s incredibly tough to bring down in the open field and he made some passes in the game we covered that were very impressive. Smith is a quarterback that could help guide his team on a state title run in the next month. If that ends up being the case, we won’t be surprised at all.
