About Kellen

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a tough, physical lineman on both sides of the ball for Edgerton High School. I have good size and strength and am a two-way varsity lineman. I play with a high motor and a relentless attitude, consistently blocking to the whistle and trying to set the tone in the trenches. Defensively, I line up as both a defensive end and tackle and use my size and strength to plug running lanes.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

On the field I feel that I'm a relentless competitor and my goal is to make the guy across from me want to quit. I'm a quiet leader with a good sense of humor and love being part of the team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I've been on the honor roll academically. I lettered in track, throwing shot and discuss. I have also played baseball, wrestled, and bowled.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I lead by example and try to do things the right way. I work hard to get better and respect my coaches and teammates, which I believe makes me a good teammate. I have done some community service with my parents and the football team, which has helped me appreciate my good fortune.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I tore my meniscus during my freshman football season and ended up having surgery and doing rehab. With hard work and dedication, I was back to full strength before the start of my sophomore season and have had no issues since.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that I can play football at, no matter the level. I love the game and will play at whatever level I get the opportunity. While I'd prefer a four-year college and to be close to home, it's not a requirement. I'm currently undecided on my college major.

Center Kellen Hein Kellen Hein Kellen Hein 6'3" | 280 lbs | OL/DL Edgerton | 2027 State WI of Edgerton is a kid who I expect to see become a riser by the end of the summer. He has built a great frame already, but without having to sacrifice effective athleticism. Kellen flashes a strong anchor to take on DTs or blitzing LBs without letting the pocket collapse. Plus he has the lateral agility to mirror DL in pass pro or quickly give help to his guards. The big man can also turn a quick get off into a strong initial push in the run game. A push that has been able to create pancakes and quickly clear gaps for his RBs. Don’t miss out on this one.
