Kelahn was another viable option for MVP honors. His size and build speak for themselves, and pose a serious challenge for any defensive backs. During the testing portion, he showed off his explosiveness during the broad jump, his agility during the L-Drill and shuttle, and showed insane straight line speed during the 40. Once we got to the 1 on 1 portion, he was challenged with some of the best defensive backs in attendance and he was able to use speed and physicality to win separation and make some impressive catches. He undoubtedly showed the traits I wanted to see, and I will continue pounding the drum for Thorns, who has all of the traits of a D1 wide receiver.

Thorns was a discovery for me at our Buckeye State Blitz event. He moved well, has a solid but athletic frame and showcased a ton of high upside. I will be watching him closely as I truly believe he could have an MVP type performance just based on what I saw out of him last weekend. The upside is there, and I can’t wait to see what he can do in front of coaches and scouts!

Thorns came out firing early and often. The first 2 snaps for the Bredwinners offense were deep ball touchdowns to Ke’lahn. His size and frame make him a physically gifted receiver that defensive backs struggle to deal with. When running a post or other deep route, he gets behind the defense quickly and is able to use some tremendous concentration to look the ball in through traffic. I absolutely love his upside and think he could be a major stock riser in our rankings soon.

Ke’lahn Thorns looked like an alpha target all weekend for Bredwinners Academy. The 2027 wideout stands a physically imposing 6’3 and uses his length to create consistent mismatches on the perimeter. His catch radius and ball skills were evident in contested situations, where he showed confidence and control at the catch point. Thorns is a good athlete who moves well for his size, and his combination of frame, physical presence, and playmaking ability makes him a receiver that defenses have to account for on every snap.
