Through the years we saw Kayden make a lot of plays with his speed at WR. His senior tape flips things around as he spent the year shining at safety on defense. The first huge takeaway is that the speed is definitely still there. That takeaway is quickly followed by how impressive of a hard-hitting defender he is. Kayden destroys WRs at the catch point and is responsible for plenty of PBUs from those hits. Kayden’s range and ability to read the eyes of the QB give him the ability to roam the field and make plays on the ball or deliver one of those devastating hits. You need to check out this kid’s senior highlights.

. The explosive athlete has the talent to play on either side of the ball. Kayden’s short area agility and explosiveness make him a dangerous route runner. He is able to accelerate out of breaks so quickly. Kayden’s speed allows him to stretch the field and also execute a lot of crossing routes where he gets left on LBs or safeties, swinging the advantage big time in his favor. Kayden also does well after the catch. He is surprisingly strong after the catch and has the balance to break tackles and absorb hits without going to the ground. At CB Kayden’s athleticism, agility, and closing speed allow him to lock down receivers in off coverage or when lined up at the line. The junior does so well playing the ball in the air on both sides of the ball too. Check this kid out. He is an under the radar stud.

Kayden had a very strong junior season, flashing big play potential and playing all three facets of the game. In 2024 Kayden averaged almost 25 yards per reception. A huge number, but because of his big play threat we could see even bigger numbers in 2025. I expect the ’26 to step into the WR1 role and earn a few more targets per game. Meverden won’t need many chances to create big plays, so we could see a lot of fireworks in 2025. Plus I’m sure he will still be back as a return man as well. Things are shaping into a big role for the explosive athlete in 2025.

Kayden is going to be one of the best athletes, and offensive mismatches in northern WI this season. The 2026 is just waiting to be unleashed on the varsity field this fall. In a few games in 2023 the WR/DB finished with 5 catches, 134 yards, and 2 TDs plus 15 tackles on defense.
Those numbers will be easy to beat this fall. I expect to see the super athletic WR to take over the featured spot and put up big numbers. He has the athleticism to do it. This summer the 6’1″ athlete ran mid 4.5s and was one of the top overall testers at the Minnesconsin Mega Camp while going against 800+ athletes. On top of the unfair athleticism, Kayden also brings great ball skills to the field and with the ball in his hands he has the speed to beat angles and quickness to win in tight quarters. A lot of people are going to learn about this kid this fall, hopefully.

Rankings Jump: #61 Up to #43rnKayden made his big jump because of the athleticism and big play ability he showed over and over on tape. East got Kayden involved as a receiver primarily, but also as a runner with jet sweeps. The long speed allows him to get the edge, beat his CB deep, or split safeties down the middle of the field. The 6’1″ WR/ATH also has strong hands to go up and fight for the ball. The way Kayden can read the field and find the alleys where he can beat pursuit angles has also made him a talented return specialist. Teams looking for a speed threat out wide need to keep an eye on Meverden over the coming seasons. His climb up the boards may not be finished.
