Karter is the most dominant player from Edgar that we have seen since Austin Dahlia won POY in 2021. Karter led his team to a State Championship, led his team in rushing yards, TDs, and tackles. The senior never left the field, and put up numbers that are not easy to replicate on just one side of the ball. Butt took over games on a weekly basis all the way through the State Finals. What an impressive showing by the school’s career and single season rushing record holder.

Stats: 20 Carries, 172 Yards, 5 TDs, 15 Tackles, 1 INTrnKarter wrapped up a historic HS career with a State Championship and a dominant performance. The senior is Edgar’s career rushing record holder, finished Top 10 in rushing yards this season, and Top 3 in rushing TDs this season. Karter has a physically imposing play style that perfectly fits his build. Butt is built low to the ground with feet that somehow stay square underneath him through contact. Karter is able to run through contact, move the pile, or fall forward. Early in the game, we also saw Butt flash some big play creating speed as he got around the edge and beat everyone down the sideline. Karter demonstrated the vision and agility to move through the front seven while avoiding contact as well. To go along with the RB play, Karter also was a handful of tackles from the Championship Game record. The senior is one of the biggest hidden gems in Wisconsin in the Class of 2024.

Stats: 37 Carries, 317 Yards, 6 TDs, 1/1, 18 Yards, 1 TD, 6 TacklesrnIt was a single game, and career record setting night for the Edgar senior. There was no doubt coming into the night what Edgar wanted to do. Even with that, Boyceville couldn’t slow down the bowling ball of an RB. Butt is a such a violent runner. His contact balance and power made him a nightmare to wrap up and drag down. Karter piled up the yards after contact and the broken tackles had to definitely be in double digits. The senior also showed off patience to allow blocks to develop. Once the lane was there, Karter would attack it and punish defenders. This is the most slept on RB in WI. Give him the look he deserves.

Karter has been a favorite of Prep Redzone WI since his freshman season. The 5’10” 215 lbs RB has been a contributor on varsity for years, culminating in a dominant junior season that should get him more attention from the next level. Karter has that bowling ball type build, and he matches his play style to it perfectly. His low center of gravity makes it nearly impossible to arm tackle him. He runs his feet through contact and is able to break through many tackles. His reported 4.62 speed gives him the ability to get outside and turn seams of green grass into big platys. Karter also possesses strong instincts and vision that allow him to play at full speed, even between the tackles. The team that lands Karter is getting an impact player. Check out the film of the All State RB/LB.

Stats: 26 Carries, 143 Yards, 2 TDsrnAnother week, another standout performance from the junior out of Edgar. Karter takes over games on the ground, and as an LB. RB is where I project him to play at the next level. The 5’10” 210 lbs ball carrier is a big ball of muscle. I love watching him carry the rock as he absorbs hits and keeps right on heading down the field. His low center of gravity paired with his compact frame makes it so hard to take him down without wrapping him up and gang tackling him. While being that big and strong, Karter also has the agility to jump cut or spin off off defenders, keep his balance and accelerate back to top speed. Butt has gotten better and better throughout the season. He is definitely one of the top RB prospects in the Class of 2024.

Stats: 11 Carries, 149 Yards, 1 TD, 1 Passing TD, 9 Tackles, 4 TFLs, 2 SacksrnThe junior RB has been one of my favorites to follow here at PRZ WI. He has been making plays for multiple seasons on the Edgar varsity, and he has only been getting bigger, faster, and stronger. The RB checks in at 5’10” and 210 lbs. Karter is essentially a bowling ball with the rock in his hands. He has a low center of gravity allowing him to absorb hits, and keep his feet churning. His power perfectly complements his frame. It’s not just power either. Butt has 4.62 40 speed, and has some wiggle when he finds himself in tight quarters. Karter clearly stands out form the crowd on a weekly basis. He is fun to watch, and I know we will have the chance to keep watching him at the next level.
