Karece is the definition of a true athlete — a dynamic playmaker who impacts the game on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he’s electric with the ball in his hands, rushing for 1,102 yards and 22 touchdowns on just 111 carries while also adding 26 receptions for 400 yards and 5 more scores through the air. His ability to create in space, change direction, and finish runs makes him a constant big-play threat.
On the defensive side, Karece is just as disruptive. He totaled 45 tackles, including 38 solo stops, while showing his instincts and ball skills in the secondary with 6 interceptions — tying a record — along with 6 pass breakups. Add in 3 tackles for loss, 4 fumble recoveries, and a pick-six, and it’s clear he has a knack for finding the football and making game-changing plays.
What adds even more momentum to his rise is the fact that he made his commitment official on October 11, 2025, a major moment in his recruiting journey. With his production, versatility, and proven ability to make winning plays,

Hoyt is one of those rare athletes who can truly do it all. Offensively, he lines up at running back, receiver, or even in specialty packages, showing elite burst and reliable hands. Defensively, he’s a playmaker at defensive back, using his speed and instincts to lock down opponents. In Week 1, he scored twice and averaged nearly 30 yards per catch, a glimpse of the damage he can inflict. As a 2027 prospect, he’s already considered one of the top all-around players in Texas, and his versatility makes him nearly impossible to game plan against.

Hoyt is as great a dual-threat QB as there is across the nation. While obviously lethal outside the pocket and running the ball through the defense, Karece also thrives at sifting through the pocket, going through his progressions, and delivering accurate passes downfield. Along with the arm talent and overall precision to his game, Hoyt is difficult to bring down in the pocket and running lanes. He possesses a strong frame and stellar contact balance. He also has true top-end speed and sneaky elusiveness, which he uses to break off long runs into and past the secondary. The district MVP was an absolute stat sheet stuffer throughout his sophomore year, totaling nearly 5,000 total yards in 55 touchdowns as a sophomore signal caller. Hoyt already holds over 20 offers, including schools such as Oregon, Tennessee, and Arizona.

is quarterback is getting ready to burst onto the scene in a big way. Coming out of one of the biggest areas in the Dallas Metro, Karece is about to play on some of the biggest stages that High School Football has to offer. Standing at 6’1 and 155 pounds, Hoyt is a big kid with the early makings of a premier quarterback at a very early point in his career. With some big performances at some combines in the Dallas Area, Hoyt is already proving to be head and shoulders above the competition. Karece has a quick release that helps protect himself from defenders and hit his targets on time and accurately. With his poise and timing in the pocket, Hoyt throws darts with precision and allows his receivers to gain yards after the catch on almost every throw. From what I have seen from Karece, it is clear that he is going to be one of the best quarterbacks that McKinney has seen in some time. I am excited to watch him take McKinney High School’s football program to the next level down the road.
