Expert Analysis
Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
Physically imposing interior defender with a solid 6’0”, 270-pound frame and the strength to anchor in the middle. Flashes good initial quickness off the ball, allowing him to gain early leverage and disrupt at the point of attack. Strong hands and effective hand usage help him maintain separation from blockers and control opponents in the trenches. Shows power when stacking and shedding, consistently working off blocks to finish plays. Brings a physical presence as a hard, reliable tackler who plays with a high motor. College-level strength and interior toughness have already drawn attention, holding an offer from Sacramento State. Expect his recruitment to rise going forward.

The Redwood Christian product is one of the top two-way guys across the state in the 2029 class at his position and is a elite athlete for his size with tremendous power and strength at the POA and is a smooth and fluid mover in space. He is explosive out of his stance, has violent and quick hands at the POA and when getting off blocks and shows he can explode into the backfield and make plays behind the line. Naea has a great combination of body control, first step quickness and sudden twitch to split double teams or rush the passer and should be closing in on his first offer sooner rather than later.

is. On top of being on the All-Name Team, Naea is a boulder on the interior of the line on both sides of the ball. Naea says his main position is Defensive Tackle/Nose and that his secondary position is Center on the O-Line. He’s a strong, stout kid that is only going to continue to get bigger, as his size 15-shoe indicates. Defensively he commands a double team if a team wants to have any chance of running up the middle–though he consistently defeated them all season. As an evaluator, I happen to love him even more as a Center. He’s so big, unassumingly quick and violent, he’s a Line Coach’s dream.
