Expert Analysis
Dom Skene | Prep Redzone Scout
Babcock is a stocky, quick skill player with a raw set of tools. He’s strong for a sophomore and flashes physicality on both offense and defense. As a receiver, he’s good on screens and in YAC situations with nice stop and go ability. His speed and footwork both look promising at corner, where he sticks with them despite unpolished hand technique. He has tons of pound for pound strength to use in press coverage, and could become one of the better corners in the league as he learns to jam, turn and run. His ball skills are also a work in progress but he positions himself well and reacts quickly. Babcock is an ascending CB with the makings of an all-leaguer, and a formidable outside college CB if he polishes a few tools.

Versatile athlete that made plays on both sides of the ball at WR and DB as a junior. At 5’9” 160 lbs. he’s got great speed, quickness, and lateral agility. He’s fluid with his movement and flashes plus change of direction to get in and out of his breaks. Shows good ball skills on both sides, he’s aggressive at the catch point and possesses good body control/coordination to make acrobatic contested catches. Gets to top speed quickly and uses it to his advantage to outrun coverage or turn and run with receivers to cover the whole field as a DB. Took a recent visit to Eastern Washington and should see his recruiting attention on the rise entering his senior season.
