Wayne’s Kaiden Hayton Kaiden Hayton 6'3" | 200 lbs | ATH Wayne | 2026 State WV can play all over the field for the Pioneers but earned Top Performer RB honors at the Combine. He showed why he’s such a versatile overall athlete during the event and his background as an ATH greatly benefits his play as someone who can do a lot of different things on the field with a variety of skill sets. Hayton is a big-bodied running back who measured in at 6’2 206 and had quality testing numbers for his size. He was able to run a 4.8 40, 4.5 pro shuttle, and a 7.5 L Drill in wet conditions which was impressive given how big he is and the weather.

We forsee him having a breakout junior season for the Pioneers on both sides of the ball. Hayton recently debuted in our 2026 rankings as the #3 ATH and a Top 65 player in the class.

Most of his film from last season was as a returner and DB, but at 6’3 200, he can grow into several other spots over the next two years. We aren’t sure which position he’ll get the most work at during the combine, but have him slated as a WR/DB for now. That’s the main question we have for Hayton is which spot he eventually ends up at in the future, and if he has the body type to be able to grow into a bigger ATH prospect like a LB or TE down the road. We’re also anxious to see how well he tests and what his raw athleticism numbers look like which could further help determine which position he settles in at. Production was limited last season, but we believe Hayton has a high floor as a prospect with an undetermined but potentially high ceiling as of now.

You don’t often see athletes his size returning kicks at the high school level, but he did so at a high level. Modest production in other areas keeps him lower in the rankings compared to where he’ll likely end up by the time he’s a senior, but Hayton flashed next-level athleticism in the opportunities he received as a sophomore and has a great athletic foundation to build on the next two years. We’re excited to see him in person competing at our combine in early May to see which positions he looks best at right now.
