Justin is a powerful lineman whose size and strength are evident throughout his film. On the offensive line, he shows the ability to anchor and control defenders at the point of attack. His hand placement and leverage allow him to win physical battles in the trenches. As a defensive lineman, Cowans brings power and the ability to disrupt running lanes. He shows flashes of push off the line, collapsing the pocket and creating pressure. His physical presence makes him difficult to move, especially in short-yardage situations. Cowans plays with a tough, physical mindset that translates well to both sides of the ball. With continued technical development, he has the tools to be a strong contributor at the next level.
