Baldwin, one of the top defensive backs on Long Island, picked up his first offer from Kean University. I saw Baldwin play earlier in the season against Half Hollow Hills East, and although West Babylon’s team did not have the overall talent to keep up with HHHE, Baldwin was clearly one of the better athletes on the field.

I can see why this young man is ranked as a top 20 DB in his class. A complete package at DB. Not too short, standing at 5’9.5, weighing a tad bit over 150 pounds. Sub 4.8 40 time, 8’11 Broad, is currently a junior. Would likely be my pick for top DB if we had to suit up for a scrimmage at the end of the camp. I’d certainly use this all-around ATH at RB or WR depending on what his hands look like. Did a phenomenal job when the football was in the air during 1v1s. Can locate and best of all, he has the catch-up speed to deter wideouts at the catch point. Several times Baldwin was tested deep, just to stay in phase when the ball was on it’s way down. Exemplaray feet during his backpedal hardly any wasted motion or false steps when closing on the football. Covered an out-route during 1v1s, his rep was teach tape. Again, I feel like this kid could easily play both ways based on how he performed in this one. Fluid athlete.
