is another defensive back that stood out to me this season. He lined up at strong safety where he was very impressive in pass coverage. When the ball was thrown his way, Seymour showed the ability to break on the ball with perfect timing while also showing tremendous ball skills, coming away with eight interceptions during the regular season. He showed the ability to turn those interceptions into big plays the other way, returning two of them for touchdowns. Seymour also showed the ability to fill the lane to provide run support, finishing the regular season with 48 tackles and one tackle for loss. He also played a key role on offense as a running back. Jullian doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way as he has received a good amount of college interest and has the talent to play at the next level.

. He has played a key role on both sides of the ball for Green County this season. On offense, Jullian finished the regular season as his team’s leading rusher with 135 carries for 872 yards and 11 touchdowns. He has also played a key role in the passing game, catching 27 passes for 403 yards and five touchdowns. On defense, Seymour has been a ball hawk in the Green County secondary, finishing the season second in the entire state with eight interceptions, returning two for touchdowns. He has also shown the ability to provide support against the run, accounting for 48 tackles and one tackle for loss so far. Jullian doesn’t currently hold any offers but I expect some to come his way as he has received some college interest and has the talent to play somewhere at the next level.

Very few if any KHSAA competitors rank as highly in both offensive and defensive production categories this fall than Seymour, and his most recent performance in his Dragons’ 38-21 district-clinching win at Metcalfe County might be his most impressive yet. Offensively, he charted 100 yards rushing on 18 carries, another 77 yards and a touchdown on 5 receptions, and then defensively, he contributed 4 solo tackles, 2 assists, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery and a 41-yard pick-six. After rushing for 752 yards and 9 touchdowns on 124 carries last season, he already has exceeded those numbers this fall and currently ranks 12th among Class AA rushers (93.1 yards per game), 33rd among receivers (40.9 yards per game) and 5th among scorers (13.6 points per game/22nd statewide). Yet despite his obvious offensive prowess, he likely projects even more favorably as a defender at the next level. After concluding last season as his squad’s top tackler, he ranks #2 among Dragon defenders this year with 31 solo stops, 15 assists and 1 tackle for loss, but clearly his primary impact defensively emerges from his exceptional ball skills and his acumen for takeaways. Currently tied for the statewide lead in interceptions with 8, he has returned 2 for scores, in addition to forcing 1 fumble and recovering 2 others. After hosting Taylor County for their last regular season matchup, Seymour and his 8-1 Dragons will host Fort Knox in round 1 of AA playoffs.
