Thomas brought the energy to match the defense during the North-5:00 team’s scrimmage by finishing through the second whistle. He was bursting through the line and stiff arming bigger defenders with a jabbing motion that’s surprisingly efficient. He slipped through arm tackles by rapidly churning his feet and he fully utilizes his low center of gravity, making it hard to bring him down after first contact. He’s received offers from Puget Sound and McPherson but his unique combination of size, speed and strength could attract a few more before National Signing Day. Look for Thomas in a loaded North-5:00 backfield this weekend.

This is a player who could be included almost every single week. This Cascade team runs the ball VERY well and Thomas has been leading the charge. He has many, many games of at least 150 rushing yards and multiple touchdowns. Against Meadowdale HS, Thomas did his thing. He consistently broke tackles and ran through people to keep adding up the yardage. He finished the game with 166 yards on the ground to go along with his 3 rushing touchdowns.

You can NOT underestimate this senior running back due to his size. If you do, he will show you why that was a big mistake. During Cascade’s week 1 game against Marysville-Getchell HS, Thomas ran for 231 yards and a whopping 5 touchdowns. He absolutely dominated the Getchell defense all night long, being able to out-run every single one of the defenders, almost every time he touched the ball. His speed on the outside was apparent week 1 and it’s something opposing teams should be focusing on in the coming weeks. He has some of the best field vision I’ve seen, easily finding the next open spot in the defense.
