About Julian

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Well rounded, instinctive, downhill linebacker (ILB) with strong play recognition, physical tackling, and the speed to pursue sideline to sideline -- run or pass coverage, and is always around the football.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Competitive, coachable, and team-first. Takes pride in working hard, staying disciplined, and doing whatever my team needs to win -- playing with toughness, focus, and an edge.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes — I’m enrolled in multiple honors courses, volunteer as a coach for local park district youth baseball teams, and participate in school-based service activities, all while maintaining a 3.8 weighted GPA.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership and communication skills through football, baseball and coaching young players. I take pride in being a dependable teammate, working well within a unit, and serving my school and community through volunteer activities.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is learning how to balance academics and athletics. Managing my time effectively has pushed me to stay disciplined and organized, and it’s helped me grow as a student-athlete. Like many athletes, I’ve had to work through the ups and downs of performance, confidence, and expectations. Those moments have helped me develop resilience and a stronger mindset.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a competitive college program where I can develop as a player, be part of a strong team culture, and receive a high-quality education.
