One of the more productive QBs in Class 2A and the most recent commit on this list, Judah Lock Judah Lock 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB/DB Grand View Christian | 2026 State IA opted to select Concordia St. Paul on October 20.

So far this season, Lock has completed 121-of-205 passes (59%) for 1,723 yards, 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions. On the ground, he’s taken 60 carries for 159 yards and four scores. A contributor on the defensive side of the ball, as well, for Grand View Christian, Lock has posted 30.5 tackles, three TFLs, a forced fumble, four pass-breakups (PBUs) and an interception.

He picked Concordia over offers from Mount Marty, Mount Mercy and Ottawa.

The No. 11 quarterback in the class of 2026, Lock threw for 2,070 yards and 19 touchdowns against 1A competition last fall. With a quick release and a strong understanding of his team’s offense, Lock can take advantage of defenses by getting the ball out quickly and placing it where he expects his receiver to be.

He’ll look to cut down on turnovers and, like Badding, look to increase his completion percentage (54.8%) from last fall, but the makings are there for he and the Thunder to jump onto the scene in 2A this season.

Grand View Christian QB Judah Lock Judah Lock 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB/DB Grand View Christian | 2026 State IA is someone to keep a close eye on this season as he has the tools and weapons to lead the Thunder on a run. Judah had solid production as a junior, throwing for 2,070 yards, 19 touchdowns, a 55% completion rate, and a 128.9 QBR. Lock is another player who seems to have turned it up a notch this offseason with improved accuracy and ball placement, as well as some extra juice on his throws. Judah showed as a junior his ability to read defenses by moving through his progressions and picking at the soft spots in the coverage. Good touch on his throws, which seem to drop right in his receiver’s hands and keep them in stride. Lock doesn’t run a whole lot, but he does have the athleticism to spring free for a first down or touchdown near the goalline when he sees the opportunity. Judah has been very busy this offseason with camps, 7v7s, and has recently picked up his first offer from Mount Marty. Stock rising for the Thunder’s QB1!

Lock threw for 2070 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 15 picks, and adding 3 touchdowns on the ground. Lock did hit the mark on several beautiful passes in stride, showing excellent depth and accuracy on his throws in the pocket as he commanded his offense well throughout the year. If Lock can clean up some of the mistakes that occurred during the 2024 season, Lock could be on the radar to be at the very top of the division in 2025.

Grand View Christian is another team that has sprinted out of the gates to a 3-0 start. Against Southwest Valley in week 3, Lock finished 18 of 29 for 286 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 2 INTs, while adding 4 carries for 24 yards. Lock’s quick zip on his passes and excellent delivery was on full display as he showed great accuracy and was not afraid in taking chances down the field, which paid off throughout the night. Lock is looking every bit like a top QB in this state, and there doesn’t seem to be any signs of slowing down any time soon for the Thunder with Lock leading the way.

Lock finished 13 of 24 for 250 yards and a touchdown, while adding a rushing touchdown. Lock looked sharp on the air, reading his progressions well, and for his first start on varsity offense, Lock looked poised and comfortable in the pocket. Lock was not afraid to push the ball down the field and make throws through difficult windows. Lock will look to build upon his solid debut and solidify his spot as one of the best QBs in Iowa for the class of 2026.
