is a good athlete who excelled last year as a tight end and defensive end. As a tight end, he is a dynamic blocker. He does a good job of blocking on the edge and controlling defenders. He also shows glimpses of being a good pass catcher in limited opportunities. As a defensive end, he is excellent at keeping contain. He uses his hands well and knows how to rip through offensive tackles trying to block him. Smith is a good player on both sides of the ball.

has value as a TE or EDGE prospect at the next level, but elected to compete as a TE at the Fairmont State Elite Camp. He’ll have some physical growth to do as a TE before he plays there in college, but Smith could develop into an H-Back in time. As an EDGE prospect, Smith is definitely worthy of D2 looks after watching his junior film, and appears to be his most natural position. Smith does possess ball skills as an offensive prospect if he can keep adding the size that’s necessary to play there in college.

played defensive end and tight end last year for Bethel Park. The 1st thing that stands out from his film is his size. He stands 6’2″ inches tall and looks every part of it. At defensive end, he has the quickness to get off the ball. Then he uses his hands well to engage offensive linemen and rip through them to create chaos for the offense. At tight end, he shows legit receiver skills. He runs many different routes and runs them well. Smith showed that he has good hands and can catch anything thrown his way. Smith is a good prospect who showed good ability at defensive end and tight end.

is in-line for next-level looks. 6’2, 195, 3.2 GPA, TE/DL/LB capable sophomore. Tape forced my hand, I felt obligated to post part of his film on Twitter, I don’t do that for everyone. Cracked the 2026 Top75, this being a debut for the young man, certainly a high one. First rep on tape gives you insight on a couple factors of his game. Stride off the LOS, Smith gets out of his TE stance easily and builds up a respectable stride for his build. Athleticism, moreso hand-eye coordination while tracking the football allows him to come down with a nasty one-hand catch in traffic. Body control witnessed here too, hell of a way to start your tape. As tape progresses, you can see Smith excel with his hand in the dirt in four-down-linemen sets. See a lot of 4-2-5 out of Bethel Park’s defense, Smith can realistically serve as a starting DE shading outside of tackles and TEs. Use of hands sticks out immediately, off-hand swipes kock weak punches away. Offensive usage is creative, BP can deploy multiple TE sets and station Smith along either weak or strong sides of the formation. BP has Smith working against the flow of the offense often, backdoor wheels, misdirections, Smith serves as a great leaker in the pass game. Ranking Smith alongside some of the classes best should be a clear indicator of where I think he projects. That being said, Smith is going to have to likely perform well at camps against bigger TEs and DEs, while also stacking another year of success on top of this tape. I’d circle his name if you see him on roster.
