Josh was just at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase in May at Augustana where we watched him make my OL list for standouts, but what we saw today in Valley City at the VCSU LOS Camp was intrigue in the defensive trenches. He was one that showed more power in his lower body than what I saw just in May, as Josh had some success this morning finding enough space to utilize those growing hands to get tighter with his flexibility thru double teams during drills as the hip flexibility intrigued me further as a better fit to be a defensive tackle at the next-level. The now 5’11 275 pounder from Fargo South in my eyes has position flexibility that college coaches should keep watching for on both sides of the trenches.

Josh was a 2028 offensive line prospect out of Fargo South that made the trip down to Sioux Falls for our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase that showed some proise. There wasn’t much tape out there pre-showcase, but what I liked quickly from a skillset perspective was the drawing hand speed that Josh had in the reps I watched. His ability to not only fire his hands out quickly, but he was one that I felt got better rep after rep I watched as far as his pad-level and overall hand position which it’s always a bright spot from a live eval standpoint when you can see that quick growth from OL prospect especially an underclassmen like Josh. The 5’10 285 pounder has good length with his wingspan at 75′ inches (6’3) which is telling me that there still could be some growth left in the tank and surely one that I hope gets more tape out there to show the skillsets we saw in the live reps in Sioux Falls.
