Expert Analysis
Robert King | Prep Redzone Scout
Pittman has been a 4 year starter for the Bulldogs. He has shown a great combination of discipline and aggression at the Edge position. He is long, shows good play strength, and gets separation. He is violent when tackling and runs his feet on contact. He usually beats offensive tackles with a bull rush or a rip move. He has enough range and closing speed to move back to the 2nd level at VT. I could see him as a versatile Will backer for the Hokies, who has blitz packages and moves down to the LOS in situations. He has the frame to add 20-30 more lbs. If he shows he can cover, he has the tools be a multi-year starter for the Hokies. His natural attributes are there, just needs to learn to play in space and be more varied with pass rush moves.

Our third ranked linebacker will play either end or outside at the FBS level and his offers have already started piling in. An honors student Pittman really excels on the outside when he is rushing the passer, too quick for most tackles to handle 1 on 1. He already has multiple offers from Virginia Tech, James Madison and Old Dominion, chances are he stays in state for his college choice.

an honor student for the Bulldogs who puts fear into his opponents. Pittman is 6’2 with good size, speed and range especially for a soon to be sophomore, his overall game is very impressive. He rarely makes the wrong read and you not see him miss any (If not all) tackles, he is a master of his craft. While major FBS level schools are starting recognize his talent, the offers have yet to come through. It is a bit premature as he is only 15 for most offers, but if he has a sophomore season similar to last year, not too many schools will hesitate to pull the trigger.
