Stat Line: 68 Carries, 589 Yards, 3 TDs, 17 Receptions, 106 Yards, 2 TDs

I love the way senior Josh Taylor Josh Taylor 5'9" | 215 lbs | RB/DL Marshfield | 2027 State WI plays the game. He brings so much effort and heart to the field and it shows while he is carrying the ball. He runs so strong and has a really good base of balance through contact. I was able to see it in person back in Week 1. The senior runs angry and requires gang tackles. Look for him to be an impact player.

Stat Line: 3 Carries, 89 Yards, 1 TD, 2 Receptions, 19 Yards, 1 TD

It is a fantastic stat line for the senior sleeper out of Marshfield, but it was not the physical tools that stood out most. It was the heart that this kid plays with. Every time Josh was on the field he was giving everything he had. Blocking, running, receiving, it didn’t matter. His effort stood out on a field of varsity athletes. Then you turn your focus to the physical gifts and the physicality jumps out from the crowd. Taylor is a runner who brings the contact to the defender and his wide center of gravity made him a nightmare to try and get off balance. The senior never let his feet quit either, forcing the defense to swarm tackle him and do it quickly before he could churn out the extra yards. Do not overlook this kid. I was very impressed by him and the way he plays.

2024 Stats: 16 Carries, 59 Yards

The FB only got to play in 6 games in 2024 and was utilized primarily as a blocker on offense. I expect more of that with his strong frame and ability to win with leverage while leading the way. However, only one of the three backs with more carries than him returns in 2025. So there is going to be work available for the ’27 RB/FB to potentially pick up. Watching through the highlights he has, Josh is a physical presence. He will drive the pile, runs north-south, and isn’t afraid to take on DL in his lead blocking role. I’m excited to see what his role is this fall.
