The passing categories are going to be the best race among the Class of 2029 athletes. Marshfield’s Ethan Foemmel is coming off a freshman season where he was thrown into the fire and ended up being 2nd in passing yards for freshmen with 796 yards. This season Ethan is back and ready to show off the off-season dedication he has had. He will be looking for a new WR1 this fall, but I believe that with his decision making, experience, and accuracy we will see Ethan be leaned on enough to end the season as the leader in passing yards among all sophomore QBs who played varsity. Check out his freshman varsity highlights below!
Another Top 10 prospect that I hope to catch up with live is Marshfield’s Ethan Foemmel at QB. Ethan was able to earn the varsity job as a freshman and get valuable experience under his belt. Watching Ethan’s clips from his offseason work has me excited for what he is working his way into being. The ball jumps out of his hand, carries its velocity to its target and the ’29 seems to be fine tuning his accuracy. This summer I want to see Ethan throw it around live. Watching QBs in person is so important for getting a feel for the athlete’s arm talent and that is what I hope to get a chance to experience early in Ethan’s development and high school career.
Ethan is another QB that quickly worked his way into the varsity QB1 role. The freshman had nearly 800 passing yards and 6 TDs on varsity. The freshman QB looks the part from his 6’2″ 170 frame to his quick footwork, ability to stand tall in the pocket and keep his eyes downfield, and his arm that can not only push the ball all around the field but also do a great job with ball location. This past year was invaluable experience for the QB and should have him ready for a full year as QB1 this fall. I’m anticipating a breakout year for the 2029. He returns his entire backfield and 4 of his top 6 receiving threats. Things are coming together for that potential breakout.
