Owens is probably the most decorated QB on this list and is making quite a name for himself amongst some small schools recruiting GA. He is a true dual-threat at QB who filled in seamlessly for a D1 signee the year prior, and probably raised the level of play in some ways. He has impressive off-platform skills and uses his legs to create space for himself to throw. He showed functional arm strength as a junior, and that part of his game should be put on display even more this fall. I am pretty confident in his chances to land a college roster spot, if he continues to handle business.

An athletic, dual-threat quarterback from rural Georgia bound for a giant final season in 2026, Owens is one of the more underrated passers in South Georgia right now who showed last season he’s capable of playing at the next level. A good athlete who can throw on the run at 6-foot-1 175-pounds, Owens is coming off a strong junior season where he threw for just under 2,500 yards and 20 touchdowns. He never gives up on a play, keeps his eyes down the field, and showed good footwork and pocket awareness. He shows above-average arm strength, mobility, and playmaking ability. He was consistent in 2025 and should be even better as a senior, hoping to lead his team to another giant playoff run.

One of the more productive and dynamic quarterbacks in South Georgia, Owens has shown the ability this year to lead and complete balls into tight windows. He shows impressive ball placement and uses his legs to keep opposing defenses honest. He’s thrown for an impressive 1,048 yards and nine touchdowns. His accuracy could improve, but he’s got enough arm talent to put the offense on his back and win games with his arm. His biggest game came in a loss to Rome where he threw for 391 yards and four touchdowns. His best football is ahead of him and he’s hoping to lead Toombs County to a big playoff run later this fall.
