Joseph is a player I identified as too low in our rankings last July, and that is on us for not bumping him sooner. He has since picked up an offer from Liberty and I expect more to come for him. See my previous scouting evaluation on him below.
Joseph is a big run-blocking mauler on the offensive line. He has great size at 6’6”, 282 lbs. He has the strength and will to overpower his opponents. He does a good job of keeping a strong, balanced base in his run blocking, allowing him to drive his legs. Solid in Pass Pro, with a strong grip and anchor when he latches onto the pass rusher. A lot to like in his game. He is another I could very well see rising in the ranks after next season.

is starting to turn heads and he picked up his first Division 1 offer from Liberty late last month. Not surprisingly my co-worker Robert King was all over this back in June, he broke down McFarland’s game perfectly. As Rob stated this young man’s ceiling is very high and you should expect more offers to start to trickle in soon.

Player shows exceptional length and technique for a rising junior. He is very controlled and patient as a pass blocker, as he kick steps and allows the play to develop. As a run blocker he is never lunging and changes directions well as he climbs to second level. His hand placement and separation allow him to win 1 on 1 matchups, as he uses strength, but never out of control. With increased muscle memory, he’ll become a more instinctive player with more aggression and physicality. Right now he is still developing. Because of his size, control, and ability to use the defender’s momentum against him, he will have a high ceiling. I expect he will start generating more recruiting interest this Fall and next Summer.
