Last week, Hampton signed with Alabama State!

Hampton had a fantastic career over at Pelham, and I expect he’ll do the same in Montgomery over the next few years. We’re going to have to look out!

Hampton had a heck of a game last week, recording 6 tackles (2 for loss), 4 QB hurries, 1 FF, and 1 FR. Hampton was a problem for Oak Mountain all night long. He consistently found his way into the backfield and was able to rush the passer and defend the run at a high level all game long.

Joseph “JB” Hampton is a 2026 EDGE/LB prospect who has been incredibly reliable for Pelham’s defensive front.

Hampton is a dominant run defender who consistently dishes out huge hits behind the line of scrimmage. Hampton is strong, quick on his feet, and has the instincts and IQ to come up with stops nearly every down. I’m really impressed with how easily he works his way into the backfield, he flies off the snap and leaves OTs in the dust to make huge plays for loss.

Hampton really thrives off his skills in pursuit- he plays with a ton of effort, can cover lots of ground, and can make some highlight reel stops far from where he originally lines up.

Hampton is a talented defender with a huge senior season ahead of him, watch out for him this fall!
