About Jordon
Expert Analysis
Josh White | Prep Redzone Scout
Ward is dynamic in space. With track-level speed and a visible second gear, he can turn check-downs into explosive gains. Operating primarily from the slot, he’s a vertical stressor who flips leverage instantly if defenders lose angle discipline.
He’s also a willing blocker — freeing perimeter runs and screens — and carries added value as a return man and gunner. His blend of speed, toughness, and RAC ability makes him a field-tilting presence whenever he touches the ball. If Ward opportunities increase he easily has the talent to jump in the rankings

2.) Jordon Ward
Grades (out of 10)
Vision (8) See field better out of the backfield. Does a good job keeping head up and manipulating weak areas in coverage.
Speed (8) Decent speed. Has really good feet in traffic.
Power (7.5) Errors to the side of making people miss or try to outrun.
Balance (7.5) Stopped arms on a few times during shuttle and cone drills. Over extending to reach cut point. Overall does a solid job on getting in and out of breaks.
Ball Skills/Security (8) Can let ball get to body at times on easy throws. Doesn’t give up on routes. Has a nice double move on top of break.
BPA-Big Play Ability (8) Can be moved around. Bigger threat outside and once behind first level.
Has a RB background, but has a nice game at slot/wr plays. More work in the weight room could land him permanently in the RB room or if he continues to stretch out and stay proportioned then being a true athlete would make the most sense and use Jordon to create mismatches.
Writer Drew Toennies had him as RB MVP and felt he was impactful with the ability to be used in a multi-faceted role.

Another skilled prospect to showcase his talent was Jordon Ward, an athlete at Simmons Middle School. What stood out the most about Ward’s playstyle was his explosiveness as his electric speed and versatility proved his ability to break free of his man in the pocket and make a difference down the stretch. I also liked Ward’s ability to be deceptive with his movement and stun his foe with his arms.

Claiming the number three spot on my list is Jordon Ward, who also collected an MVP award for being the best running back at the event. What made Ward such an impactful prospect was his size, speed and physicality, proving his ability to be a multi-faceted player that can quickly execute, handle contact and be shifty with his feet. In the later portion of camp, Ward caught my attention with his relentless toughness and ability to use space and time to his advantage. Ward was without question one of the top prospects at the event and deserved to be an MVP.
