About Jonathan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I may be smaller for an offensive lineman but I play like someone a lot bigger. Plus I am a young member of the class of 2026 and should be a 2027, which means I am not done growing. I will be one of the nastiest and aggressive players on any line and never stop driving defenseman or looking for another block.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Hard work and commitment are the most important things. I am in the gym 7 days a week, constantly working on getting bigger, stronger and faster. I also love watching film and learning how to be better at my own position while getting ready for my next opponent.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Until my junior year, I was also a goalie for my high school football team. When I am not playing football, I am either in the gym or working at my job.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

An offensive line is only as good as its weakest lineman -- playing on the line is the ultimate example of team work. I have been lucky to play a lot of football and get recognitions, but it means nothing if my other lineman are not getting bigger, faster, and stronger, so we can improve as a team. The team aspect is what I love most about football.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Not so much in football, but in other sports I have been told I am not ready to compete at the higher levels despite being a high school goalie starting my freshman year. I take those challenges and use them as motivation to improve in everything I do.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am very interested in playing college football in the south, or near home (Minnesota or Montana, where I have a lot of family). I want to play football at a school where football is extremely important and greatly supported by the school, students and communities.

He’s not the biggest or most technically advanced prospect, but he’s mean, he fires off the ball like a missile, and when he gets locked up on you it’s wraps. I hope to see him continue to build on the success he’s shown through the first three weeks.
