brings one of the more diverse skillsets and resume to the state’s 2026 rankings. As a sophomore, Davis started for 5A Chaskaon the interior OL, primarily as an offensive center, where he showed good initial pop, low pad level off the snap, leg drive post-contact, and good balance. Davis, as an underclassman and first-year starter, was strong enough to handle massive DTs and NGs 1v1 in the trenches, both in run and pass blocking settings, and also took reps as a DT, stuffing up gaps in the run game and once again excelling in contact-heavy situations.
The 6’1, 210 lber. moved to his rightful position of linebacker in his junior campaign, reporting over 100 tackles with the 5-5 Hawks while showing some prowess in run defense. Davis can shock and shed blockers and maintain gap integrity and proper leverage while making tackles through contact, and he’s also able to drop his hips a bit and rip up and under interior OL for clean block defeats, as well as use his quickness to his advantage. Davis can create some big collisions behind a full head of steam, has a couple strong reps of him identifying screens and slipping through the setting offensive linemen for slippery TFLs and botched plays by the offense, and is able to pursue, mirror, change direction, and breakdown when chasing QBs and RBs in space and in the backfield. Last April, at the PrepRedzoneMN Combine Series Showcase, Davis measured in at 6’1, 211, posting a 5.06 40, 4.47 and 4.5 40, 9’3 and 9’6 broad jump, and 7.22 and 7.25 L-drill. Should be a monster senior year for the ILB from Chaska High.

reports good numbers in the weight room (450 squat, 295 bench), and also competes as a thrower on the track & field team while holding a 3.55 GPA. From his 2022 game film in the non-varsity ranks of the Chaska program, Davis demonstrated the strength and physicality to win 1-on-1 battles against OL and larger opponents and superiority at the contact point, and he laid some crushing hits as both a LB and FB that put opponents on their butts. I like how Davis takes good angles to the football, and he shows off a good motor and a little bit of blitzing capability. The size and strength as a rising sophomore are what really gets us excited, and being more physically developed than your peers is a quick way to see varsity reps sooner rather than later.
