Jonah has been a player I have been very high on for quite some time. I really like Jonahs ability to show all the skills needed to be a big time all purpose back. Jonah does a good job running between the tackles and does not shy away from contact. Jonah also has good top end speed to bounce the ball outside and pop off long runs. But what Jonah has done a good job of also is showing good pass catching ability out of the backfield. In the spring Jonah Took home MVP honors athlete the PRZMI camp at Lawrence tech university. He showed all around skills as a complete back and see that translating into a big fall for the Hasting Sextons back.

Take one good look at Jonah’s on field production and that should be enough to offer this young man. His summer circuit has done nothing to hurt his cause either. Jonah has good top end speed and makes good shifty cuts in tight spaces. Jonah is a back that can handle 20 plus carries a game but also has excellent hands out of the backfield. Jonah is the all purpose back any college coaching staff would want. I suspect a big fall and offers to roll in for him.

In a loaded field of running backs Jonah stepped forward and asserted himself as the best back of the day taking home MVP honors for the backs. The Hastings running back was excellent in individual drills and took the things coached straight to the field. He was very decisive in his cuts and making people miss all day in tight spaces. Jonah also showed his versatility as a back making multiple catches and quickly bursting up field. I had suspected Jonah would test well and he was better than advertised. Based on his performance Saturday I would guess Jonah will have a big fall season heading his way.

Jonah is an intriguing prospect that may project at multiple positions. He shows good feet on film as a running back and good back peddle and good change of direction with fluid hips as a defensive back. I am excited to see his testing numbers next month and what he does against stiff competition in the one on one segments of the camp.
