might be one of the more intriguing prospects to watch this fall in the state’s 2025 class. Right now, we have Grimmett listed on the offensive side of the ball as a tight end or a bigger hybrid wide receiver. But don’t overlook what Grimmet can do on the defensive side of the ball. He was very productive last season on defense with nearly 70 tackles and three interceptions. He would also produce on offense with his 6’5 frame, becoming a red zone nightmare for opponents. Grimmett’s recruitment picked up this offseason and he would eventually give his commitment to UNLV.

and he grabbed headlines earlier this offseason when he committed to UNLV. We’re starting all of our preseason content next week and Pauls Valley is going to be one of the higher ranked teams in Class 3A. Having a player like Grimmett coming back is a big reason why. Throw on the film and you see a player and a prospect that is just as comfortable as a traditional tight end as he is splitting out wide at receiver. He has strong hands and makes some really hard catches look easy. Pauls Valley has a chance to have a memorable 2024 season and Grimmett will certainly play a big role.

is a newcomer to the rankings and we have completely bought in to what their coaches were telling us back in the fall. They mentioned that Grimmett was a next level talent, we put on the tape and we can’t do anything else but agree. He has size, skill and athleticism that you don’t see packaged together as well as Grimmett shows. And he’s starting to garner the attention of college coaches, picking up his first offer this year.
