One of the top uncommitted senior RBs in IL will be in action vs Sandburg on Friday. Joey is a shifty, quick twitch, explosive RB. His instincts and vision make him a dangerous runner between the tackles. Partridge has a knack for bursting through tight running lanes. Joey can make defenders miss in a phone booth, and has the speed to get outside and up field. Keep an eye on the playmaker as he looks to lead his team on a playoff run.

Representing the deep SW suburbs of Chicago, Minooka Indians 5’11, 190 lb. RB Joey Partridge Joey Partridge 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB Minooka | 2024 State IL is coming off an accomplished junior season that saw him earn First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-Area honors after posting 194 carries for 988 yards and 13 TDs plus 17 receptions for 180 yards and a TD with only one fumble in 11 games of action. Currently without an offer, the fun-to-watch ball carrier exhibits the capability to pop off explosive plays between the tackles or out on the edge of an opposing defense and can find and get skinny through gaps at the LOS, and shows solid burst through the first and second levels of a defense. I like how Partridge accelerates out of his cuts and is good at making that last defender miss, and his shifty hips and running style make it hard for would-be tacklers to corral. He shows a comfortability catching passes out of the backfield as a bonus and is a surefire bet to best those production numbers from 2022 this fall. He needs some recruiting love!

Mr. Partridge wasn’t able to get things going until the 2nd half where he really started to do damage and that’s how he finished with 2 TDs on the night. He did so by being a threat in both offensive attacks securing catches out of the backfield where he would get along the sideline to keep the chains moving. This young man also used his vision to find the running lanes between the tackles where he would use a quick burst to get through and fight for extra yards upon initial contact to keep the sticks moving. Having another year left under his belt of high school play, look for him to hone his craft this offseason and build upon his Junior Season performance. Twitter
