Each prospect listed here stood out on film as a junior and displayed a diverse skillset at the running back position. They’re not heavily recruited right now, but that doesn’t mean that could change in the very near future. I think they’re going to excel in 2023 and will only help their stock in the recruiting world. Make sure you keep an eye on them this fall.

Joey Partridge Joey Partridge 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB Minooka | 2024 State IL 5’10” 185, Minooka
A north and south runner with easy change of direction and a nasty jump cut. Joey bursts through contact, has the upper-body strength to throw tacklers off of him, and can provide matchup issues as a receiver out of the backfield.
Jordyn Beverly, 6’1″ 215, Marion
Beverly averaged over eight yards per carry in 2022 and on tape, he runs with purpose, has great contact balance & is patient through the hole. He’s a one-cut runner that shows active feet through tackle attempts and will run you over if you get in his way.
Treshaun Lancaster, 6′ 205, Auburn
A physical runner between the tackles equipped with soft hands and runs with great forward body lean. Lancaster pinballs off tacklers, has a stiff arm with some serious mustard on it, and allows blocks to set up in front of him before kicking on the turbos.
Alonzo Manning Alonzo Manning 5'5" | 160 lbs | RB Mount Carmel | 2024 State IL 5’6″ 170, Mount Carmel
A jitterbug type of back with good speed and can make you miss in 1 on 1 tackle situations. Manning is extremely slippery, he’s got terrific burst, he runs bigger than his listed size, and can bounce a run to the perimeter if the edge isn’t set.
Derrick Stewart Derrick Stewart 6'0" | 230 lbs | RB St. Rita | 2024 State IL , 6′ 225, St. Rita
A bigger back that runs behind his shoulder pads, but can mix in some finesse in the open field. If you get in his way, Stewart has no issue running through you, he muscles right through arm tackle attempts and has a penchant for finding the endzone in the red area.
Connor Vanselow Connor Vanselow 6'0" | 170 lbs | RB Wauconda | 2024 State IL 6′ 175, Wauconda
Connor has deceptive speed, outstanding body control and can get skinny through smaller holes between the tackles. He’s a creative runner with plenty of wiggle and will consistently cap off runs falling forward.
