Mr. Mayo is a quarterback that can stand strong in the pocket where he gets the ball off with a defender right in his face to keep the chains moving. This young man can also get the ball out quickly when running RPOs as well. His release is going to be one to keep an eye on this fall as it limits the time the rushing defenders have to generate pressure on the play. Let’s not forget about the glimpses he flashes of being able to drive off his back foot adding extra velocity on the ball. Overall, there’s still a lot of untapped potential yet to come to light out of this gunslinger. Keep an eye on how he produces this fall as he and Richards could potentially make a deep playoff run.
