Built with a strong 5’10” 205 lb. frame, Cooper combines speed and power to create a dynamic presence in the backfield. He runs hard downhill with physicality showing the ability to absorb contact, break tackles, and stay upright through traffic. His lower body strength allows him to maintain leg drive at the POA, while his burst gives him the ability to break away at the second level. Looks to finish once in the open field. He’s a decisive runner when cutting that can extend gains being elusive in space. Expected to have a big junior season after rushing for over 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore. Ranked as the #7 RB in the 2027 class and #86 overall.
Cooper busted for over 1,000 yards and 9 TD’s in just 8 games played last year. He’s a downhill runner that’s difficult to bring down given his sturdy frame at 5’10” 205lbs and possesses good balance and play strength to stay up through initial contact. Despite being that power back build, Cooper still does a great job bouncing runs toward the numbers once he crosses the box to put himself in good position- forcing DB’s to either try to tackle him 1v1 or hesitate to find that ankle biting angle.
Cooper has that classic running back build — 5’10”, 205 pounds, low center of gravity, and legs like tree trunks. He looks the part before the ball is even snapped, and once he gets going, defenders are in for a long night. He’s not just big for the sake of being big — that strong base gives him the ability to shake off arm tackles like they’re nothing, and he’s constantly falling forward for extra yards. What’s really impressive, though, is that once he gets into his stride, he’s got legit speed. That combination of size and burst is flat-out scary. And if you do manage to square him up, you better be ready for a stiff arm that’ll put you in the turf. He’s not just out there trying to make highlight plays either — he runs with intent, with purpose, and with toughness. As he continues to work on his foot speed and adds a little more craftiness to his game, there’s no doubt he’s going to be a real problem in the ‘27 class.
Cooper was a 1,000 yard rusher as a sophomore using a combination of strength and speed. At 5’10” 205 lbs. he’s a tough tackle with a well-built frame and natural power in both his upper body and lower half. Great contact balance to drive through and break tacklers at the first level and then uses a series of well-timed stiff arms to force secondary defenders off his body. Applies early pressure to the defense by pressing the LOS quickly and has the vision to find and cut to space. Flashes a good understanding of how to direct and use his blocks to his advantage to create a running lane. Comes in as the fifth ranked RB in the 2027 class and #64 overall.
