Lowery is one of the most intriguing players in this entire class if you ask my opinion. He’s more than talented enough to play at the next level. When speaking about true athletic ability, he’s definitely top 5 in the class. He’s explosive and twitchy with great closing speed. The knock against him is he’s currently a bit undersized. However, it’s players like him who typically have success at the next level because they’re forced to focus more on fundamentals and placement. Both of which, Lowery thrives in. He’s a very smart player and doesn’t make the same mistake twice.

Lowery is a young DB we hit as a potential breakout a while back, and so far this season, he’s been incredible. He’s poised and playing with a ton of confidence. I think just having that first year of Varsity under his feet helped him adapt and see the field better. He certainly made his mistakes as a freshman, but it’s those mistakes you only make once. After that, you understand how to make the play you missed. That’s where Lowery is in his development and it’s becoming consistent. He doesn’t have many tackles, because they don’t throw the ball his way. When QBs have tried this year, they’ve been undercut and picked off. However, his 14 tackles, 3 interceptions, and 1 forced fumble strictly on the outside speak volumes. All solo tackles and not giving up any big plays are what you want to see with a young DB. As Lowery develops, he could easily become one of, if not the top, DB in this class. All the raw tools and playmaking instincts are there, it’s just up to Lowery to keep on the path he’s on.
