Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
Smart, physical, and versatile. Offensively, I have played center, guard, and tackle and been able to succeed at each position. I am adept at zone and power blocking schemes and pass protection, but also with the athleticism to lead on pull plays. I am also a long snapper. On defense I play tackle, typically as a two or three technique concentrating on gap control.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am highly coachable, eager to learn, and want to compete with anyone, whether it is on the field, in the classroom, or in the weightroom. I strive to get better at whatever I do and want to improve myself with any opportunity given. I always make personal goals every season, and throughout the off-season and in-season I strive to accomplish them. I am team focused, and results driven.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am a member of the Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School Ski Club and participate in our annual ski trip. As a student, I have earned either first or second honor roll every marking period of high school and take pride in these academic achievements.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Having played center on the offensive line, I developed as a leader. I learned I must be loud to lead the unit and communicate effectively. This has carried over to being a leader on the field in general. I am listened to and can direct others. Off the field, I lead by example in the classroom as well, and others observe and follow my actions. I am respectful and appreciate being a role model.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Toward the end of my junior season and into our playoff run, I played with injuries to both my thumbs. I was able to overcome this and still compete on the offense and defensive lines at an elevated level, finishing the season with multiple first team accolades.
What type of college are you looking for?
Medium to large sized in a suburban or small city, but open to other opportunities. Ideally, a school strong in business or social sciences. I am interested in sports management, political science/government, and law as possible programs of study.
