His ability to fire off the ball and block defensive players is excellent. He has the skills and ability to play offensive guard at the next level. He is a talented prospect, so it was great to see him get his 1st Division 1 offer from Sacred Heart University. DeWire should pick up more offers in the summer and the fall, as I expect his recruitment to pick up.

DeWire was a beats on Saturday and I told him personally he was close to being named one of my top performers. His numbers really stand out across the board, but his Shuttle time for being 6’2 and 270 is impressive. I can see now more why he was a First team all state guard now that I have seen him perform up close. He appears to be on the radar for a number of FCS schools and he deserves offers before his fall season begins.

Jimmy Dewire is one of the best offensive linemen in the area. Dewire has great fundamentals as an offensive lineman. Then, when he fires off the ball, he has the strength to drive defenders off the ball. Dewire continues to play at a high level on offense for Mechanicsburg.

He has excellent footwork and does a good job of firing off the ball. He also has the ability to play at guard and tackle positions. He moves his feet well, and he is able to stay in front of defenders while he passes protects. He also is a strong player who blocks at the point of attack well. Especially in the run game, he is able to block at a high level. DeWire is a talented offensive lineman who has a ton of potential.
