Exceptional natural athleticism and speed for the 6’3” 250 lb. DE out of Cardinal Newman. His initial quickness allows him to explode off the ball and bend off the edge to collapse the pocket and create pressure. Violent with his hands, he gets a strong inside punch to lock out defenders and maintain separation. Versatility and movement skills allow him to be effective stopping the inside run game and also work to the perimeter and track down ball carriers in space. Excellent block recognition ability to defeat double teams, reach blocks, and kick outs. Committed to Oregon State over eight other offers including SDSU, Washington State, and Fresno State.

Myers has always possessed plus natural athleticism and length but has continued to show good year over year improvement in his technical ability while adding good weight to his frame. Now at 6’3” 250 lbs. he’s maintained his speed and explosiveness being quick off the ball and working off the edge to collapse the pocket. Plays hard with good leverage/pad level to redirect in the short area and chase the ball in pursuit. Great strength and power at the POA, he’s able to bench press opponents off him to maintain separation and then shed contact. Good mix and variety of moves to beat blockers, can use his bend to dip around the edge, has a strong rip, and is athletic enough to spin/swim. Recruitment really took off after his junior season with eight D1 offers coming before committing to Oregon State in late June.

Myers was one of the more sought after pass rushers across California, and currently holds 10 offers. He took his first official visit over the weekend to Oregon State, and committed to the Beavers. He is an explosive and violent edge rusher that should be atop the leaderboard across the North Coast Section this Fall for what should be a loaded Newman defense.

Myers is one of the best kept secrets in the region in this rising Senior class, and is an elite pass rusher with extreme explosiveness, violent hands at the POA, bend around the edge and great open field/closing speed when collapsing the pocket. He has no shortage of varsity experience either and is one of the more talented pass rushers Norcal has to offer.
Currently Myers holds offers from Wazzu, Oregon State, Army and Fresno State and it would not be surprising if he has another 5+ come in during the Spring eval period.

Myers is one of the top recruits in the Bay Area along the defensive line, and has had a very productive high school career as he enters into his fourth year starting for Cardinal Newman. The All-State Selection has picked up two offers recently from Washington State and Army, and should see a slew of other FCS+ offers roll in through the Spring evaluation period. Over the past three seasons, Myers has been atop the sack leaders across northern California, and should see plenty of schools come by and visit through April.

Myers is starting to finally pick up some positive traction and recently picked up offers from Washington State and Army, and should most likely see other Big Sky and FBS offers come his way this spring and through the second spring recruiting period. One of the top defensive linemen in Northern California, Myers is a explosive and extremely athletic/violent edge that might kick inside in college due to his growth potential and stout frame but offers excellent position versatility along the defensive line. He is a high motor kid that can bend around the edge and wins with lower body power, a strong use of hands and power rush play-style that is tough to block. He is part of an impressive Cardinal Newman front four this season, and brings plenty of experience to the table as he is going into his fourth year as a starter at defensive end.
