Patterson is one of the more underrecruited QB’s in the state given his combination of size and dual-threat skillset. 6’4” 200 lbs. he’s got good length in his frame with a natural strong arm. The ball jumps out of his hand with velocity using his quick and effortless over the top delivery. Accurate to all areas of the field but excels throwing the deep ball with touch and trajectory to allow his receiver to adjust and run underneath. Shows good ball placement in his drop back and throughout his progression allowing him to get the ball out on time and while under pressure. Speed and athleticism make him dangerous when he tucks and runs on broken plays and designed runs. Deserved more recruiting attention but picked up two D1 offers before committing/signing to New Mexico State.

“Showtime” Patterson has been very active on the camp circuit and was a top performer at the National Preps Showcase.
He got better every time I saw him this offseason and he could have a big day Saturday.

three or four times this offseason and Sunday was the best I’ve seen him.
He showed flashes at the Elite 11 and Prep Redzone Showcase, but he was most consistent on Sunday.
His release is smooth and he can whip the ball down the field with ease. He’s one of the better athletes among the quarterbacks in attendance and went through the drills smoothly.
Multiple receivers were complimenting Patterson on his throws after their routes.

Patterson is a dual threat quarterback who threw eight touchdown passes and ran for five.
He has very good speed and he has some zip on intermediate level throws. I’m interested to see how his accuracy is on Sunday.
