Jaydin came into this showcase with a major chip on his shoulder, believing he deserved more recognition as a top offensive lineman in the area. I’ve always been impressed with Jaydin as a run blocker, but he has made exponential improvement as a pass protector. Jaydin moved his feet well and fitted his hands well against interior defensive linemen in their pass rush. Not only was Jaydin named a top offensive lineman, but he received his first offer from Concord University also! Excited to see how he builds from this going into the summer camp season.

Phillips recently transferred to Ashbrook, but he played his junior season at Forestview, where he had a strong showing as a center. His snaps are excellent, even as Forestview often used deeper shotgun sets. He has plenty of raw power and anchors well, allowing him to move bigger defenders.

Jaydin had a good junior season overall, with 35 pancakes and excellent run blocking shown on film. I think the best part of Jaydin’s game is his run blocking, and those fundamentals looked good when he was going through the individual portion of the showcase. I wanted to see how he held up in the pass game 1-on-1s against defensive linemen, and I thought he did relatively well. Jaydin showed good strength in his punch and was able to move his feet well against bigger defensive tackles.
